From The Founder
When I went into business as Ron Morris - On Track in 1978 my goals were to build the most comprehensive collection of track and field equipment, to offer it at the right price, and to deliver it promptly. We have lived up to these goals, but then almost any conscientious businessperson could. What really makes On Track distinctive and, I feel, better than the competition is the benefit our customers receive from the years of experience upon which On Track is built.
My athletic and coaching experience includes:
Two time California Interscholastic Pole Vault and U.S. Interscholastic Record Holder
Twice Intercollegiate All-American and University of Southern California Pole Vault Record Holder
Sixth man in history to clear 15 feet
Eight times AAU All-American - ranked in the top 10 in the world for ten years
Silver Medal in XVII Olympiad, Rome, Italy
Only World Class athlete to successfully convert from steel to fiberglass (ranked #1 in the world that year)
Ranked by Track and Field News as the 2nd Best Pole Vaulter (longevity) in history
Track Coach at California State University, Los Angeles (several All-American athletes)
