Hurdles
Fanny Blankers-Koen of the Netherlands was a star of the 1948 Olympic Games in London. The 30-year-old mother won the 100 and 200 meters, the 80-meter hurdles and the 400-meter relay.
Hurdler Edwin Moses enjoyed one of the longest winning streaks in the history of track and field. During the 1970s and 1980s, Moses won well over 100 consecutive races.
